It is Specific Projects Ltd's policy that, in the conduct of our business, we shall:

In applying this policy, Specific Projects Ltd aims to achieve a high level of health and safety performance, to ensure compliance with the law and to meet the standards to which we subscribe.

In following this policy, Specific Projects Ltd shall:

  • Keep our staff, customers, contractors and relevant third parties informed of known risks arising from our activities, be receptive to third party views on H&S matters, and co-operate with other employers when sharing a workplace.
  • Set objectives and improvement goals and measure, report and review performance regularly, including an annual review of the Health and Safety Management System by the Management Team.
  • Adopt a systematic, risk-based approach to H&S Management to achieve continuous performance improvement.
  • Promote a culture in which all staff share a commitment to achieving a high level of H&S performance and to communicate and promote best practice.
  • Reflect H&S performance in staff appraisal and reward systems.
  • Ensure that adequate resources are made available to meet this policy and that staff aretrained and competent to perform their assigned H&S roles.
  • Ensure that all H&S incidents and significant near misses are fully investigated and reported by means of a formal system.
  • Ensure that all joint venture partners and sub-contractors apply H&S policy and standards consistent with those of Specific Projects Ltd.
  • Establish and maintain emergency response plans in consultation with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
  • Effectively control changes that could impact on health and safety management.
